Story behind the song
I came to think about how relations with lovers, friends and family will be shifting over time. It is like one of those old scale weights. Sometimes the scales need to be balanced, sometimes just a little bit, sometimes it may take a bit more effort and time to get them in balance again.
Lyrics
I was very much in love and you were in love with me. But the scales may not have balanced evenly. And it shifted over time. Am I yours like you are mine? Will the scales be balanced all the time? Sometimes our hearts, can make us feel apart. Even when we're as close as we can be. Sometimes the scales, will tip to you or me. And blindfolded, we can't really see. If you really love someone. And you fear that love is gone. There is only one thing you can do. Put your love onto that scale. And if that seems to fail. Then at least you gave all you got. Always keep the scales in balance. Gravitation can't be fooled, And you know it, when to do it: Put the weight of your heart, on your side of the scale.
