The first song I created in my new home. It took a while to get the new computer up and running and some of the reverb on the vocal sound is actually from the surrounding walls. The lyrics deal with wasted time and how you can't really get it back..

Story behind the song
When I look back, there were times in my life, where I wish I had been wiser and spent my time in a better way. But talking about time wasted is also talking about time long gone and you cannot really get it back. So the best thing is to get the best out of the time you have on your hands right now.
Lyrics
I want it back so bad, the time that I wasted. I wish that I had, contemplated. Instead of pressing on. Instead of overtaking. I could have slowed down, I could have noticed those around me. But I was too afraid, to miss out on my calling. The one and only chance, that final breakthrough. I could almost feel it coming closer. It was always there - around the corner. I ran so fast towards my goal. But I forgot to bring my soul. It wasn't easy, to realize the obvious: What I was chasing, could never make me happy. You can't be yourself, you're just a public image. No one really knows you, and your friends, drift away. The people around you, want a piece - of the cake. Now I can see how time was slipping through my hands. How my hourglass, unturned, was running low on sand. I need to find a way, to bring those moments back. Though time is running out, It is never too late, to change. What I was chasing, could never make me happy. You can't be yourself, just a public image. No one really knows you, and your friends, are all gone. The friends you'll get, want a piece - of the cake. I could almost feel it coming closer. It was always there, around the corner. I ran so fast towards my goal. But I forgot to bring my soul.
