Killer intro...and the super synth works never ends. Solid guitar behind it all. Your vocals are just so good. The bass keeps it sailing as does the driving percussion. Excellent song writing. Creative and top shelf!

I agree with comments below Steve, your music is always first rate rock. Great vocals and lyrics. Very cool synth work and I always appreciate your great guitar work. Great melody capturing a Beatles/Brit vibe for me. Great bass, drum and production value. Enjoyed the upper registers on your vocals on this one. Just first rate music Steve!

I always look forward to your challenge songs, Steve. And this one is another gem in the collection. The intro with the vibrato guitar is awesome as the first verse and chorus with it's build up of tension. 2:03 and it starts more or less over? What the? But it is great when the instruments layer on top of each other and the vibrato verse comes back. This is songwritng at it's very best. You are a master of rock'n roll, Steve!

Hi Steve, needed some time before I came here to comment your challenge submission my friend! Loved your so distinctive rock-brit-pop style.... everytime fantastic to listen to!! As Irene wrote, you never disappoint.... yes I agree!! One thing impressed me really: the perfect choice for the title considering the lyrics, "Burn Tissue", wow, great and thoughtful. Musically I noticed that supreme organ riff pulsating all over the track, the great vocals. Mix and production top-shelf, a very good Job once again Steve!!!

For me you have got very much of the 80's in this song, where they started working with a lot of synthesizers. Remember Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. This is just a very good pop song, like you can make them. Very solid, strong and attractive. Everything perfectly in balance. Nice, and I will take a closer look at the lyrics.......
That driving bass, the moving synths, the smile inducing lyrics, and, er, everything else... yep it's a new favorite Smiv classic. For me what's most impressive is that beneath the friendly surface there's quite a bit of harmonic sophistication going on, working the tension of anticipated resolution to convey just as much emotion as the words do. Polished sound too - dare I say it's your best, at least until the next.

i thought that the beginning was "Too Much to Dream" from the 60s!! Ha! But it is actually a classic Smivits pop masterpiece. This is outstanding!!

You're the Pop-Rock man Steve! Love the arpeggiated synth rhythms coupled with the guitar. Catchy arrangement reminds me some of Tears For Fears, but with your originality. Excellent track!!
